“Soul” Is Pure Wellness

A few years ago I had an earache that just wouldn’t go away.

After many hours of Googling, I found an antioxidant drink that caught my attention. I immediately ordered it and after three days of drinking it, my earache was gone. For me, this product is very important in my quest for wellness. I drink it on an empty stomach before I meditate, and feel amazing.

Be Well … Move Your Body

Moving your body on a regular basis can prevent your immune system from declining and prevent you from all sorts of diseases. Try finding something that you might enjoy, like yoga, running, Barre, Pilates, or even just brisk walking. The best exercise for you is the one that you will do every day. There are many benefits from exercising that can drastically improve the quality of your life.

It All Adds Up

Real Food is Your Medicine

“Just eat real foods” are four magic words for me. Real foods, such as salad and seafood, are usually located on the perimeter of the supermarket. The fake foods or packaged foods are usually in the aisles.

Perimeter foods are nutrient-dense foods which means that they naturally pack more nutrition and are lower in calories. I find them much more satisfying and it takes less to fill me up. Fruits and vegetables are tasty and delicious and I can eat them anytime, anywhere. Add a little lean protein and there is a fabulous meal to eat that makes you healthier.

Real foods are unprocessed and free of chemical additives and rich in nutrients. Following a diet based on real food may be one of the most important things you can do to maintain good health and a state of well being. Real food is heart-healthy and low in sugar. Loaded with fiber, real food is good for your skin and beneficial to your gut. Real food is closest to its natural state without any alterations of any kind.

Your body is your temple. Feed it with only the best that nature has to offer you, and eat plenty of them on a regular basis. Your body will thank you and you will certainly feel better.

Morning, Beautiful

Rise and Shine.

Morning is such a special time for me. It’s always a new day with fresh possibilities. I love watching the sun rise over the ridge where I live. It’s tranquil and just a perfect time to be with myself.

Here are my three go-to rituals that I do every morning in order to feel amazing and be the best that I can be:

Meditate: After waking up, I sit straight up in my bed and close my eyes and for twenty to thirty minutes, meditate into bliss. It literally makes me high.

Lemon Water: I juice ½ a lemon into a cup of warm water after an apple cider vinegar shot that I take with a probiotic. The lemon water wakes up the digestive system and gets everything moving and provides nutrients and antioxidants. Also, if sipped throughout the day can help curb your appetite.

Yoga: I love yoga anytime of day, but especially in the morning. It helps me wake up, stretch and set my intentions for the day.  I love the self-reflection and self-compassion yoga offers along with continued growth. Deepak Chopra said, “Through meditation and yoga, one can bring the mind and emotions down to a cooler, calmer level.” I agree.

I really cherish my morning routine and love taking care of my body, mind and spirit on a daily basis. Self-care, such as eating real foods, exercising, getting enough rest, practicing mindfulness and meditation, helps keep the body and mind in a state of wellness everyday.
